Unblessed

Born on a moonless night
Denied the gift of divine blessing
Scorned by those who dwell in the light
The light, I fear, is but a fetching
Lie! Chains bind down this earth
Golden shackles on their heads
Praise the lord of fear and dearth
Like wildfire, the epidemic spreads
The lie was told
The seer thus spoke
Of a realm of heavens
Of sins to atone
The crown thou wearest

For her betrothed, Sun crowned
Into wistful tydes and beauteous
Their innocence drowned

No mortal foot ever tainted
